Explore Travel Options Online with Gogobot

Robert Louis Stevenson quoted “There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.”

In information age we prefer not to remain foreign about a place which we plan to visit. And there it elevates the importance of knowing about a destination ahead of time through sources available through the Web or our social circle. Gogobot is one such website which provides interaction between resources available online and friends who have visited a place before us to provide one-stop exploration of various travel aspects.

While still in its beta version, Gogobot was launched in Nov 2010. It has a tight integration with Facebook which provides social element to the preparation before travel. So if you have any questions about a place you are going to, just post it on Gogobot and answers will flock from different parts of the world, hopefully to enrich your travel experience. To get essentially a “travel review and tips” website moving, Gogobot has linked almost 1.5 million places with the Flickr’s common section images. A recent feature called a “Passport” has taken the entire experience to the next level.

Gogobot passport is a compilation of reviews by location. Every user who uploads travel albums leave their comments about hotels, mode of transport, eateries, things to do, things to not miss and any special tips they would like to leave a reader with. Passport combines these reviews by region and Gogobot links regions to various users providing you an encyclopedia of travel related information.

Here is a preview of look and feel of a Gogobot passport.
